Yaupon Room

 Welcome to the Yaupon Room, a tribute to the old Yaupon Beach on Oak Island. It's named in tribute to Amy, one of the owners who grew up there. Oak Island has a rich history that goes back to the early 1800s and the building of Fort Caswell in 1838. Oak Island sits between the Atlantic Ocean to the south and the Intracoastal Waterway to the north. It's one of the few south-facing barrier islands in North Carolina. This means you can enjoy stunning sunrises and sunsets from the beach every day. In 1999, Long Beach and Yaupon Beach came together to create the Town of Oak Island, while Caswell Beach stayed independent.

The Yaupon Room is full of light, with big windows that look out over the ancient oak trees in the back yard and the carriage house.  It has a full bathroom with a classic tub/shower combo, and still contains the original 1930s pink and gray mosaic tile flooring.
